Kelly Hopping

I am an Associate Professor in Human-Environment Systems at Boise State University.

I also serve on the Consortium Leadership team of the Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center.

My research focuses on how environmental and social changes are affecting ecosystems and rural livelihoods, particularly in mountain and pastoral regions of Asia and the western United States.

I received B.A.s in Philosophy and Biology from the University of Montana and a Ph.D. in Ecology from Colorado State University. I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University before joining the faculty at Boise State.
